Chemical Skin Peels
Our range of professional chemical peels are brought to you by ClinicCare. These Gel Peels are specially formulated to be highly effective with minimal side effects. We use these 2nd generation peel blends which uses the latest in scientific cosmetology to bring you the finest AHA/BHA chemicals.
Clinical peels are the secret to perfect skin. A light chemical peel works by exfoliating the superficial layer of the skin and stimulating cell turnover. We can use chemicals to effectively treat a number of skin conditions by casting off the dull surface cells and encouraging improvement in the fresh new skin.
ClinicCare Chemical peels are highly tolerable, comfortable, minimal peeling and no down time. Our peels are so gentle they can be taken in your lunch break! To gain the maximum benefit from our peels we recommend a course of 6 peels taken 2 weeks apart. Early spring, Autumn & Winter are great seasons to enjoy your skin enhancement. For skin that’s clear, fresh & luminous, all year round.

What happens during the treatment?
Our Clinical Peel treatments begin with a deep cleanse to ensure the complexion is clean and clear, ready to benefit from our wonderful peel ingredients. First, a ClinicCare Painless Enzyme peel is used in preparation to remove dead skin cells on the outermost layer of the skin before the application of selective ClinicCare Peel mix.
On your first visit our peel gel mix will always begin at the lowest level insuring your comfort throughout. The timings will be increased at each visit and the gel mix may be adjusted accordingly to your skins requirements. In doing so this way, immediate results can be seen without aggravation to the skin after the first session with increasing benefits on every appointment as the course continues. A tingling sensation may be felt during the active phase of the gel peel.
Once the gel peel is removed a targeted sheet mask containing 20% active ingredients and 5% low molecular weight hyaluronic acid is applied for 20 minutes. During this relaxing time a hand & scalp massage is performed while you relaxed in our warm comfortable bed. Every treatment is finished with the application of ClinicCare Moisturiser, Eye & Lip Moisturiser and an SPF.
Chemical Peel FAQ's
A course of 6 treatments a 2 week intervals are recommended.
The Peels contain a range of active ingredients which are specifically chosen to work together to target your skin concern. In our range of Chemical peels Acids & Enzymes work together to breakdown and removes the outermost layers of the skin, increasing cell turnover, cell renewal & positive cell activity whilst dampening down negative cell action and reversing adverse cell activity.
A mild, tingling, warmth, slight stinging sensation may be felt whilst the active gel peel is on the skin. We monitor the skin carefully during the stage and increase the time/mix to suit each client. Ensuring a comfortable & effective treatment.
Reactions from treatment include: skin redness and flushing, peeling, dryness, irritation, tightness, itching, tenderness, accentuated lines & wrinkles due to dryness, stinging and swelling. Effects will usually typically resolve within hours and many people are able to return to their normal activities the same or next day. Some people may react differently and may experience these reactions for longer. However, these reactions are temporary and typically resolve within 3-7 days as the skin returns to normal.
Post treatment some sensitive clients may experience some pinkness to their skin which will resolve usually within a few hours. We recommend make up can be worn once the skin has settled. This Peel can be taken in your lunch break!
Not everyone peels. There may be some light shedding but as these peels are specifically formulated to be gentle & effective minimal peeling will be experienced.
The benefits of your course of skin peels will last months & years, we would not recommend another course of peels for at least a year.
